British Columbia BioEvolution 2008 (1.1 mb) | British Columbia BioEvolution News Release

We extend a special thank you to the many companies and organizations that are helping to promote British Columbia's biotechnology, medical device and healthcare industry, including Alexandria Real Estate, Amgen, BioLife Solutions, Economic Development For Central Oregon, Ikaria, Lease Crutcher Lewis, Merck & Co., Ratner BioMedical, SAB Architects, Technical Safety Services, and others -- sponsors of the first ever British Columbia BioEvolution poster. Please note that a second poster that will include more than 100 of the province’s biotechnology and medical device firms will be released January 2009.

British Columbia BioEvolution is a one-of-a-kind genealogy chart that illustrates the founding "technology origins" of nearly 60 biotechnology and medical device firms located in the province of British Columbia.

The British Columbia BioEvolution (genealogy) poster is based on phone interviews with company and non-profit organization representatives, and depicts the origins of a company's "founding" technology and technology licensing relationships with the province's universities and non-profit research organizations -- the economic engines supporting innovative research and development. Please note that the poster does not attempt to represent relationships or affiliations between universities/non-profit research organizations and company scientists, executives or board members.

Info.Resource, owner and publisher of British ColumbiaLifeScience.com, invite all biotechnology and medical device firms, universities and non-profit research organizations located in the province of British Columbia to review their individual listing in the British Columbia BioEvolution poster included in the preceding, and to forward any corrections, other changes or suggestions to BioEvolution@Inforesource.org.

We also encourage you to review your company and/or organization listing with our British Columbia life science industry directory in the following, and to send us any address and contact changes, corrections and suggestions: British Columbia Life Science Industry Directory
