Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) -- CNIB is a nationwide, community-based charity committed to research, public education, and vision health for all Canadians. CNIB provides the services and support necessary for people to enjoy a good quality of life while living with vision loss. Dotsplus -- DotsPlus , produced by Oregon State University, is a device-independent typeface developed for blind readers that intends to encompass a large set of symbols in addition to standard braille. HealthTalk -- Sounding like talk radio shows, but delivered both over the telephone - via toll-free numbers - and the Internet, HealthTalk is a free, around-the-clock service that connects patients and family members worldwide with leading medical experts and also with other people like themselves. Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada -- Locate the British Columbia affiliate of the Heart and Stroke Foundation - dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. The website offers information on healthy living, events, and volunteer opportunities. Kidney Foundation of Canada -- The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the national volunteer organization committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease through funding and stimulating innovative research; providing education and support; promoting access to high quality healthcare; and increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and donation. March of Dimes Canada -- The March of Dimes Canada is a nationally registered charitable organization providing support services to people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers across Canada.
